Planned host change – bot, homepage & game server

Important announcement: Planned host change

I would like to inform you today about an important upcoming change: The entire host system will be changed during this week. This affects the Discord bot, the homepage and the game server.

What is being changed?

• Discord Bot: The bot is being migrated to a new system. There may be brief failures or delays in responding to commands.
• Homepage (rl-dev.de): The website is being moved to the new host. During the migration there may be short periods of inaccessibility.
• Game server: The game server will also be migrated to the new system. Current game sessions may be temporarily interrupted.

What does this mean for you?

The change will be carried out as smoothly as possible, but you should still expect short interruptions. I will try to keep the downtime as minimal as possible and keep you updated via the Discord server.

Why the change?

The new host offers better performance, more stability and an improved infrastructure - which benefits everyone in the long term. It is an investment in the future of rl-dev.de and everything that goes with it.

Schedule

The change is scheduled for sometime this week. The exact date depends on various factors. As soon as a specific date is set, I will inform you in good time in the Discord.
